Mum to Mum classes are so much more than just an exercise class. They are an opportunity to meet like-minded women, form friendships and just have some fun! They are also unique because you can bring your little one's along with you, so there is no need to arrange childcare. They can enjoy the toys in the baby/children zone, whilst you can enjoy a safe and fun workout!
I trained as a Fitness Instructor when my second child, Joska, had just turned one. I have two children and have always attended exercise classes with them during my maternity leave. It's a great concept, you workout and they play - some ‘me’ time whilst not having to arrange childcare. The feeling I got after exercising is what powered me through the classes, even after the most sleep deprived nights. You can never underestimate the power of exercise on both your body and mind! Towards the end of my maternity leave with Joska I knew that I wanted to start running similar classes and help mums with their postnatal exercise journey. Everyone will have a different reason for coming to my classes, but just keep moving, smiling and having fun! Classes are always relaxed so you can just come as you are and give as little or as much as you want to!
These classes are fab for mums. All the exercises have options to suit your level of fitness and have options for the newest of mums that are easy on your pelvic floor and tummy muscles. It’s not a daunting class either. I know when you’re a new mum the idea of returning to fitness or even beginning your fitness journey for the first ever time can be scary. But you’ll feel right at ease straight from your first class. I have been with Jen for a while. When I started my fitness wasn’t that great and I was 2 stone heavier. The classes suited me then and they still suit me now that my fitness is at a much higher level so it really doesn’t matter where you are on your journey, Jen will make sure you’re doing the right thing for you. The toddlers also have a great time playing, and if you have a new baby they’re right by your side. It doesn’t matter if they cry or need cuddles…nobody minds at all. Plenty of us have been cradling babies whilst squatting or pausing for a quick feed whether that’s breastmilk or a packet of quavers ! I definitely recommend this class.
